MAKE A DIFFERENCE: SUPPORT MAREVIVO

Marevivo is a non-profit environmental association (ONLUS) that has been protecting the sea and its resources since 1985. Marevivo focuses on biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, enhancement of marine protected areas, combating pollution and illegal fishing, and also promoting education in schools and universities.

The sea occupies 70% of the Earth’s surface, produces more than 50% of the oxygen we breathe, absorbs about one third of the excess carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere by human activities, plays a key role in climate regulation and much more.
Despite this, the world’s waters and their biodiversity are under threat.

Each of us can make a difference with small gestures, which is why Bad Spirits supports the important activities undertaken by Marevivo, pledging to donate 5% with the purchase of each bottle.

OCEAN ACTION:
LABEL MADE WITH OCEAN BOUND PLASTICS

Bad Spirits has chosen to rely on UPM Raflatac, one of the world’s leading suppliers of label materials, offering sustainable products.

Ocean Action labels can help stop the ocean bound plastic leak at the source. What is ocean bound plastic?

Ocean bound plastic is abandoned plastic waste of all sizes located within 50km from shore in communities or areas where waste management is inexistent or very inefficient.

UPM Raflatac is the first company to offer a product that uses ocean bound plastic as a label material, with an aim to create a demand for reclaiming plastic waste before it pollutes our oceans.

Seawake Gin is the first liquor to embrace this initiative.

CORKCOAL: SUSTAINABLE CORK AND ACTIVATED CHARCOAL STOPPER

Bad Spirits has chosen to rely on ESTAL, a leading packaging company, which has integrated eco-sustainability into its creations.

In addition to 100% recycled glass bottles like the one chosen for Seawake Gin, ESTAL offers an innovative eco-friendly cap.
Corkcoal is the stopper produced from cork and activated carbon, two materials of natural and renewable origin.
In the manufacture of micro-granulated cork stoppers, complex industrial processes are employed with the aim of removing the undesirable properties of cork, such as taste, smell, colour, etc.
Activated charcoal neutralises undesirable substances from the cork in a natural way, allowing less water, chemical agents and energy to be used.

Seawake Gin reconfirms itself as an entirely eco-friendly product.
